  • Big Moves: I wish they would tour here! Big Moves is the only producing, training, and service organization in the world dedicated to getting more people of all sizes into the dance studio and up on stage.
  • Jenna Vaught: Gorgeous. Medical student, Miss Plus Elite 2007-2008, Fitness Editor of Venus Diva Magazine. Once weighed as much as I have and lost over 190 pounds. I would love to meet her.
  • Chenese Lewis: Keynote speaker, expert commentator, and advocate for plus size women. Miss Plus America 2003
  • Two Pounds a Week: Meg’s blog: “I am a 28-year-old, happily married woman working my way to losing 25 pounds. I love my family and friends, who are a huge support system to me.   • The Fat Girl’s Guide to Living: The Fat Girl’s Guide to Living (FGG) is a lifestyle blog for and by overweight women who are tired of missing out onreally living because of internal and external pressures about being fat, and their own perceptions of themselves.

  • The Curvy Fashionista/Marie Denee: If you want the top blogger on plus size fashion and spot-on trends, this is your spot! Her motto is to Keep it Curvy.Confident.Chic. (love it!) Also, Marie Denee is the newest hot spot for designer plus size fashions. Definitely need to bookmark these pages!
  • Manolo for the Big Girl: Really, do I have to explain why?
  • Reah Norman: Beautiful visual designer, specializing in product, fashion, wardrobe and set styling. She specializes in plus styling and is a plus model in her own right!
  • Pretty Pear: I love Colleen’s blog: “The Pretty Pear is a plus size lifestyle blog. This means that in addition to talking about clothes, I write about everything that goes along with being a plus size woman. I believe that women of size are beautiful and deserve beautiful clothing, shoes, and accessories just as much as average sized women.”
  • StyleIT: Where the fashion nerd meets the pop culture obsessed. Style IT has revamped itself around content the author can’t live without. Each post is organically written, with passion, enthusiasm and the knowledge that the author has a personal experience relating to each subject. If she doesn’t like it, she won’t write about it.
  • SKORCH Magazine: I’m a blogger and columnist for SKORCH, so of course I love it! SKORCH is a magazine for trendy and fashionable women sizes 12+ who crave a magazine that looks and feels like every other fashion magazine, but also offers fashion commentary and advice for a plus-size woman. SKORCH is for plus-size women who want trendy plus-size fashion, beauty tips, celeb style in plus-size, and in-depth interviews.

  • One Nerve Left: Lizz has been perfecting the Art of Imperfection (<- her description, not mine!) for about a decade now. Her unwitting subjects include 3 kids, a husband and 2 dogs. Experiments are known as child-rearing, marriage, housekeeping, organizing and culinary arts.
