Wow. Another weekend has come and gone! I’ve had a very “blah” weekend, which was quite appreciated. Just hanging out at home. Floated around the pool yesterday, and cleaned the floors. My pup promptly tracked mud in the house. Awesome.
First and foremost, thank you so much for the amazing support you showed me (as always) after my latest post about my negative perception of my body, and changing it by recording a video of my workout. I want to spread that video like wildfire, because I’m so tired of seeing videos of small, incredibly fit people working out. Not that I mind the videos, I just want MORE from us larger folks who are trying to bust stereotypes. Case-in-point: check out the post from this week on Swim, Bike, Mom about the negative reaction she got after posting a kick-ass photo of triathlete Jackie.
Today, I went to Trader Joe’s, and met a reader. Hello Jenny! At least I hope your name is Jenny. I might have totally made that up – I suck at names. But hello! Sorry you had to see me the one day of the week when I venture out in workout clothes and no makeup. *shudders*
Wanted to post a few links to places I’ve been around the interwebz, in case you missed them:

Teaser from the Enell blog:
Last night, I had an interesting discussion with someone at my gym. I do group personal training so it’s somewhat social, but the trainers watch over us at all times and are obsessed with proper technique.
I was joking about how so many of the exercises we do in group training have to be modified for my size and some limitations coming back from injury. This perfectly fit-looking girl explained that she still has to modify some things as well, after having suffered an injury. I see her all the time yet never realized that she was modifying – probably because I was so busy modifying and focusing on myself. I then had a lightbulb moment where it sunk in that I didn’t have to worry about what others thought of me or that they were watching me, snickering that I couldn’t do the exact same exercise they were doing. Everyone is focused on themselves – just as it should be…. Go read the rest now!
Last but not least, a little reminder to head to bed with:
