Humpday Hodgepodge

October 26, 2011

Happy Hump Day! Thanks to those of you for indulging me in my random Pop-Tart post yesterday. I completely agree with most of the smell triggers that were listed, especially movie theater popcorn – nom! (But boo chemicals.)

Here are some things that I wanted to share, but that don’t fit in an entire post. Hodgepodge it is!

Over the weekend, hubs and I went out to a local corn maze shaped as UK basketball coach John Calipari. We had a great time, and I played in the corn. If you want to see more photos or hear more about what exactly a corn maze is, you can read it over on HerKentucky.

I never would have done something like this 2 years ago. I wouldn’t have wanted to walk the distances or be in a place where someone would make fun of my size. It was a non-scale victory for sure. And I got to take a hay ride – yay!

Over on the ENELL blog, I’ve been writing away. I would love if you subscribed to the blog – it’s a great community of people and I promise we do more than talk about bras! Here are a few of my favorite recent posts:

Over on Emmie Loves, I obsess over my new knee-high boots that fit and a sequin dress for a party so fabulous that only exists in my dreams.
Last year at this time, I outlined my halloween strategies for a fat kid. I was the queen of getting the most amount of candy in the shortest period of time. Efficiency gone wrong.

Random question: Are you dressing up for halloween? If so, what are you going as? (My favorite grown up halloween costume was “Mrs. Federline” but as soon as Britney got her act together, the gag wasn’t funny anymore. Darn.)

I’m going as Medusa :D It’s going to be the most fabulous costume ever.

Last year I went as Miss Piggy, which sounded  good in theory but I spent the whole evening feeling self conscious and uncomfortable and, well, like a pig. But this year I’m 45 lbs lighter and feel all comfy and sexy in my costume so I’m very excited this year!

I would love to dress up but a party where dressing up and not seeing who can end up the most drunk by the end of the evening are yet to be found.  I think I’d also have a hard time getting the Mr to partake.

Glad you had fun at the maze!

last time I went out for Halloween I ended up table dancing. Not good. I’m better locked down in my house.

I love your outfit in the corn!  It looks so autumnal.

As for Halloween, I’m going as Carmen San Diego and my boyfriend is going as Waldo.  Let’s see if anyone can find us…

OMG, I used to LOVE Carmen San Diego. Singing the theme song now…

I found a burgundy witch ht and cape today. I’m thinking I’ll be the Witch of Love. I want to make up little bottles of pink liquid and hand them out as ‘love potion’ at the party I’m going to

My best costume was as a “cereal killer.”  I wore all black and stuck mini cereal boxes all over me.  The boxes had knives coming out of them with red paint for blood.  I wore one of those “Jason” masks from Friday the 13th.

Great pic in the cornfield….those things freak me out (Children of the Corn and all).  Heading over to the Enell blog to subscribe.  Seriously love my Enell bras.

I LOVE the idea of the cereal killer!
Thanks for the ENELL love – I’m such an uber-fan!
