It’s a rainy, cool day in Kentucky. I’m working to get a bunch of random things done today since it’s a holiday in the US. To stock up on my food this week I hit up the local Farmer’s Market and Good Foods Co-Op yesterday, and Fresh Market today. I stocked up on lots of organic veggies, local-grown meat, and sustainably-caught seafood. Pricey, but after a week of eating this way, I must say I feel justified in doing so. And I actually look FORWARD to my meals. Novel idea, right?! /sarcasm
Last week I mentioned that I was starting a new training program and was going to start eating paleo. I feel energized, excited and strong for the first time in about 2 months. I operate so much better when I have a set regimen to follow instead of just doing things willy-nilly. All my workouts are on my Google Calendar and my food is being journaled in Google Docs for me to keep track of how it all makes me feel, energy wise.
Monday I weighed in at 349.6, 7.6 pounds UP from my last weigh in of 342. Between wearing the boot, not having a strong workout routine laid out and then a marked increase in the amount of grains, flower and sugar I was eating, I wasn’t surprised at this number. Sad, but not surprised.
Today: 343 for a loss of 6.6 pounds
I was also curious how my measurements would change, if any. Here’s what happened since last week:
Neck: Same (don’t expect this to change)
Wrist: Same (don’t expect this to change)
Bust (widest part): -1 inch
Band (under bust): -1 inch
Hips: -.5 inch
Thighs: -.5 inch
Calves: Same
Arms: No idea- completely forgot to measure!
Total: -3 inches!
I’m not going to measure again until 30 days after starting, but I was really excited to see these results. Water or otherwise (I was really puffy), it all makes a difference.
Some other notes:
- Thank you SO.MUCH for voting for me on the list of Top 50 Most Inspirational Tweeps. I came in at #5, which is RIDICULOUS! Many of the people on that list are people whose journeys I’ve followed for a couple of years now, and that I look up to incredibly. Blows my mind.
- Please let me know if you’re near Indianapolis as I’ll be there to emcee the Walk From Obesity on October 2nd. I would love to meet up before the event, perhaps for dinner?
- Here are my 3 favorite posts from the ENELL Blog this week (which I write):
