Starting weight: 455
Last weigh in: 352
Today: 354
Loss this week: +2
Total lost: -101

I am not disappointed as you might think. After starting my half-marathon training this week, my legs are a little swollen and my muscles are achy. I feel really strong and centered. I can look back at the week and confidently say I feel good about my choices. I think my body needs to adjust to these longer workouts.

Non scale victories (NSVs) this week:

How was your week? Onward and downward!

    Happy Valentines!

You’re non-scale victories this week are amazing. I wish I could fly to the States to support you with your training/be there to cheer you on, you deserve as many whoops and cheers as possible!

It’s great that you realize it’s the extra activity that’s probably caused the gain. You are doing fantasteak! Keep it up!!

Emmie, I am so impressed with your workouts this last week. You are going to kick that half-marathon’s butt. The running class sounds interesting. Keep up the great work and the weight-loss is sure to follow.

Don’t let it bug you, your body is most likely just adjusting. It looks like you are doing an absolutely fantastic job! I am really impressed that you are looking to do a half-marathon, I just finished my first 5k myself! Anyways just wanted to say keep up the good work and I look forward to reading more!

Be prepared to see some gain when you start running/training on a regular basis. It’s very common.

Very true, I have been running 3 times a week and have noticed that. I always feel great after I do and long term I still lose weight so it’s definitely worth it! :)

Great week though, despite the gain on the scale! You’re doing awesome :)

The scale doesn’t always tell the whole story. It sounds like you had a great week! Keep it up!

My body always retains extra water after a tough workout. You’re doing so well!
