Weigh In | 11.8.10

November 8, 2010

I didn’t know what to expect this week with my weigh in. Since last week’s weigh in was so good, I was hoping that I would be on a losing streak, however less intensive workouts due to my tweaked back had me worried. My food was pretty good this week, with the exception of dinners Thursday and Saturday nights where I overdosed on spaghetti squash with sausage. I just simply overate, and I knew it.

I got 4 of 5 days with at least an hour of physical activity, including a very awesome spin class on Saturday (plus 10,000 steps taken!) and an intense legs/chest weight training day yesterday.

Starting weight: 455
Last weigh in: 368
Today: 368
Loss this week: 0
Total lost: -87 pounds

So yep, I goose-egged this week. I am frustrated, but that just means I need to work harder this week on portion control and continue pushing in the gym. My back felt great this weekend, and is a little sore today (probably from squats or something yesterday) so I’m going to just try to be good to it and hope it continues to feel better.

Onward and downward!

0 loss but 0 gained = still WINNING! Keep the faith!

i hear ya. have been seeing lower numbers than expected the last couple weeks as well….but at least it’s not a gain! trying to be thankful. :o ) regardless of the 0 number, you’re still kicking mucho booty in my book.

It’s fine. You didn’t take any steps backwards. Keep your eye on the prize, develop a plan, and then take massive action! Go get it girl!

That’s awesome hun. Like someone else said – 0 lost, but 0 gained! WOOT!
    Keep going, you are inspiring.

You maintained and didn’t gain. That is sometimes a victory.

This is a long haul journey. It is tough to be on plan every single day. Losing 20-30 lbs is tough. But losing 100, 200, or more? That is beyond description. It is insanely hard.

So, you are human, you indulged more than you should have. We all do. Sometimes we need to sit a bit and not move onward and downward to re-energize ourselves for the next leg of the journey. As long as you never quit you will get there.

Like others said, a goose egg is far better than a gain. Just hang in there and great job on getting your exercise in!

Don’t be too frustrated! You’ve lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks…. imagine if it was more spread out and you had lost 3 pounds last week, and 2 pounds this week – you’d probably be fairly content with that, right? I think that your goose egg this week was just your body/weight readjusting to itself after such a big loss. I bet next week you lose a few. Keep up the good work! Don’t stress about this week’s weight in :)

Hang in there, girl! Stay focused! :)

    I love your blog!

Maintaining is always great! Maybe the body needed a week to adjust.

I’m in the same boat!! It’s very frustrating. :(

You are still doing so awesome. And look at the overall weight loss and the average. Last week was good, so it makes sense this week wasn’t quite as high. I’m sure you will see losses again soon. Just keep doing what you know to do. :)

You are doing great–I have noticed when I have a big loss I won’t lose the following week either…and sometimes I don’t see a gain when I think I should but it shows up the following week. Weight loss is funny like that. I know you’ll be seeing another loss next week. You’ve come a long way, baby–keep up the great work!

  • Shae

Hey Emmie!! I think you’re doing a great job and maintaining is DEFINATELY not as easy as it sounds!! Keep up the great work, you’re such an inspiration!!

It’s all good! I didn’t lose any weight a few weeks ago, but you get back on track! You’re still doing great!
