I know I weighed last week, and you probably weren’t expecting a weigh in post since I’ve been doing them every 2 weeks. That being said, I restricted my calories again for the 2nd week in a row (not severely- around 1600-1900 a day, still low-carb), and checked the progress. Originally, it was for myself, but I’m happy, so I must share.
Last week: 383.5
This week: 379
Loss: -4.5 pounds!
Total lost: -76 pounds!
I’m really happy. I feel like I worked hard and earned this loss. I pushed through the funk early last week and stayed on track. Today, on what would have been my mom’s 54th birthday, I know she would be excited for me. This week, as I leave for a vacation I was always self conscious to do, I know I can hold my head high and not stress out about what other people think of how I look. I’ve earned the right to be proud, and I’m going to take it for what its worth.
This whole weight loss roller coaster can be so emotionally hard, as well as the obvious physical challenges. It requires a sequence of correct choices to make progress: choosing to wake up to go to the gym, choosing to push while working out, choosing to fuel your body with good things, choosing to resist temptation whenever it’s present… The past 2 weeks, I have made the right choices, and they’ve rewarded me. There are times along this journey where you truly feel you’ve made all the right choices for the week, but the scale doesn’t reward you. It’s a test to see how much harder you can push. Continue pushing, and there is no other alternative to success.
