Tuesday Update

As I posted last week, I am boycotting my weigh in this week. However, for the Plus Size Bloggers Summer 15 I need to post weekly. I’m allowed to miss 2 weigh ins between now and the end of the contest, so here’s #1! Basically, the challenge is to lose 15 pounds between last Tuesday and September 7th. Who knows what’s going to happen with my water weight between now and then. I guess we’ll see how it goes.

This morning, I went to the gym before work (and before a dentist appointment- such fun). I had to do weight training today, and didn’t feel like doing my hip thrusts in the middle of gym rush hour. I was nearing the end of my last-to-last set of exercises and while I was doing some sort of pull-down-thingies (because I don’t know what they’re technically called), this lady comes up and smiles real big at me. I thought I’d seen her at the gym before, but I certainly didn’t know her. I stopped and pulled my ear buds out and she said “how much have you lost?” and I said, “uh, 61 pounds, but nothing since I started here, I’m retaining some water” and she said “I saw you about a month ago and I can really tell the difference! You’re doing great!” I am bad at taking compliments, but I was really glad she said something. She is also working with Trainer Rob. Maybe he set her up to do it, or maybe she did it on her own, who knows and who cares. I had no idea how much I needed the positive affirmation since I’m not getting it from my usual source- the scale.

In other (boring-to-you) news, I have been RAVISHINGLY hungry this week and the end of last week. I’m chugging water like crazy to try to keep full between snacks. Still retaining water in my legs. Hoping another week will be enough for my body to regulate.

    Hang in there with the diet during the hunger pangs. I definitely feel you on this, but we'll both get through it!

    I sometimes LIKE to be a little bit hungry, then I feel like I am actually doing something. Other times, if I get TOO hungry, I lose control so it's a tough balance.

    Just a thought, could you be drinking TOO much water? You're supposed to dring a lot of water but I've heard of people who go overboard and drink too much.
