Permission to Fail

June 8, 2010

After the overwhelming response on last night’s post on Twitter and here on the blog, I made a quick rambling video and I wanted to share it. I appreciate you so much.

You, my dear, are fabulous. This video is fabulous, your honesty is fabulous and yesterday's post was fabulous.

I haven't post anything about my weight loss in months because, well, I haven't lost any weight :-P Seriously, going on a six month plateau right now and it's hard, and I've had those ups and downs with my mood and what I blog about. I think it's all just part of the journey. For right now, while I'm not thrilled with my weight and the fact that I've gained back about 15 lbs, I just keep remembering that I've still lost 33. And that's fantastic! I still have a ways to go, I'm just not in the head space to attack it full on (again) yet. But I'll get there.

You, my dear, get it. And I am SO glad…you're on a wonderful path and your awareness is astounding. You're a great role-model! I think this quote pretty much sums it up: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” ~ Winston Churchill

Sure you will have ups and downs. One of the great things about your blog is when you are on a high and you blog about it…we can lift you higher! When your low and you blog about it…we can help pull you out of you rut. Sugar coating gets you nowhere, right? You are inspiring lots of people here, we will help inspire you, too.

    OMG…you mean you're….HUMAN?? I am SO out of here… ;)

You are inspiring because you talk about where you've been, where you want to go and most importantly (to me), about the times you've fallen and gotten back up. It takes courage to do that, not only to get back up in and of itself but to talk about it, to put it out there and hold yourself accountable. Keep it up, you are doing so well, even if you stumble.
