I couldnt wait to get my Wii Fit Plus last October! Unfortunately there was an abrupt realization at 370 lbs, I couldn't use the balance board! After a lot of searching, I did find a couple workarounds, but still spent half my time balancing and rebalancing on one foot on, one foot off trying to get it to accept me. So never got to use the whole weight tracking, and really felt I wasn't able to workout the way I wanted.

For Christmas, we were in Best Buy and I watched someone doing Dance Central on XBox Kinect. No balance board! It just knew where they were and they could dance, it calculated calories based on weight and body heat/effort. It was awesome! I grabbed one up and bought it that day and haven't been off of it since! I am 345 lbs approx now, and burn around 300-350 calories per 30 minutes AND having a blast!!

I've tried a couple of the fitness games in addition to Dance Central, and so far pretty good. Still favorite is my Dance Central! But for someone over 330+ lbs, its a night and day difference to the Wii if you want to use it for fitness! And they seem to be coming out with new fitness games all the time. Hope this helped if you are looking at purchasing one for your workouts :O)

Yee-Lynn- can you believe how far video games have come since we were playing the Olympics game on your computer growing up???

Liz- I guess it's so people won't break the actual balance board, but still. It's very sturdy!

Brandy- I was too busy trying to catch my breath that I couldn't yell at my trainer! Glad you're enjoying it and that I'll probably get the hang of it after a while.

I LOVE my EA Active! While I have to agree the first worlout is a little rough in learning once you get a hang of it, it really works. I normally turn off the air and fan while doing so i will seat even more. I opt for the high intesity workout but trust me I didnt start off there. And you will never stop yelling at your trainer! I normally get half way through the workout and then I start yelling at him! :) Have FUN! Oh and the Wii fit thing....I tried the wii fit and it told me to step off but it was because my feet werent on the board right. It is very sensitve. But now the only reason I would buy one would be to use it with the EA Active.

I can't believe that about the Wii, God, that is awful. What poor planning on their part.
